MANAGEMENT OF ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND PERFORMANCE OF MICRO BUSINESSES IN ENUGU METROPOLIS

Abstract

This study examined the relationship between management of artificial intelligence and performance of micro businesses in Enugu metropolis. The specific objectives were to; ascertain the relationship between hardware intelligence and efficiency cost of micro businesses in Enugu metropolis and investigate the relationship between software intelligence and profitability of micro businesses in Enugu metropolis, Nigeria. The study adopted a survey design. The population of the study was fifty staff (50) while customers’ were unknown. The sample size of 434 was adopted using 384 for customers with help of Topman formular and 50 sample for staff with help of internal records. The study used convenience sampling procedure and structured questionnaire was used to select respondents. Correlation analysis tool was employed to test two formulated hypotheses. The findings revealed that hardware intelligence had a positive relationship with efficiency cost of micro businesses in Enugu Metropolis (r=.458, pv =.000<0.05) and software intelligence had a positive relationship with profitability of micro businesses in Enugu Metropolis (r=.352, pv =.000<0.05). Therefore, based on the findings, researcher also concluded that hardware and software intelligence had a positive relationship with efficiency cost and profitability of micro businesses in Enugu metropolis. The study thus recommends that micro businesses in Enugu metropolis should adopt the use of hardware and software intelligence in order to gain competitive advantage over their rivalries and increase their efficiency cost and profitability
